monitor the water levels in the area of the Maitland River  and to be prepared to activate the Muniicpal Emergency Operations Centre, if required.

The Emergency Control Group for the Municipality has been placed on alert in the event that flooding conditions escalate.

Public Works staff are montoiring the area of Lower Town, North Wingham,  and Bluevale, as well as other flood

prone areas of the Municipality, through the evening and night of June 23th and into June 24th, 2017, to closely monitor river levels in the watershed and the effect on property and the residents.

Residents are asked to avoid watercourses and caution driving through flooded areas.

Residents with private wells in flood prone areas  are cautioned to test your drinking water, to ensure your water has not been effected by the flood conditions.

Morris-Turnberry will continue to monitor the situation and updates will be made available on the Morris-Turnberry website and CKNX radio.
