MUNICIPAL LANDFILL DEPARTMENT

NOTICE:

The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry in the past relied on a recycling company, Switch Energy Corp, to remove loose bale wrap collected at landfill sites. This service is no longer being offered at the landfill locations, effective immediately, but is still being conducted directly through Switch Energy Corp.

Farmers and businesses wishing to recycle plastics can contact Switch Energy Corp directly at 519-482-7561 or visit their website at http://www.switchenergycorp.com/BaleWrap.aspx to learn more about how this program works.

LIST OF ACCEPTED ITEMS FOR E-WASTE DISPOSAL

The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry has placed a bin at the Landfill Site for the recycling of E-Waste You may deliver your electronics to the Landfill Site - 85047 Clyde Line - at NO CHARGE, any Wednesday or Saturday!

RECYCLABLE MATERIALS

Paper: Newspapers, Magazines, Junk Mail, Boxboard, Cardboard, Flyers, Cartons, Paper Egg Trays, Paper Towel Rolls, Bagged Shredded Paper

Plastic: All rigid plastic packaging labels '1' or '7', Grocery Bags must be kept separate. No plastic lids smaller than 3" are accepted.

NOT ACCEPTABLE PLASTIC: Foam Containers of any kind, containers or materials previously used for hazardous materials, pails or buckets exceeding a 20 litre capacity, biological containers such as plant trays or pots, other plastic items such as toys, tools, lawn furniture, etc, no construction material such as pipe, hose, tubing, siding, etc

Glass: Clear and coloured Glass, food and beverage containers with lids and/or labels

Metal: Aluminum and steal beverage and food cans, empty aerosol containers and Empty paint cans, all metal lids.

THE MUNICIPALITY OF MORRIS-TURNBERRY NOW HAS CURBSIDE PICKUP FOR THE WHOLE MUNICIPALITY

Bluewater Recycling Association will pick up your box at the curbside. Waste and Recycling Bins will be picked up weekly for the Hamlets of Belgrave, Walton, Belmore, Fringe of Brussels, Bluevale, Junctionville, Lower and North Wingham and Turnberry Estates EVERY WEDNESDAY!

Regular Garbage and Recycling Wheelie bins will be picked up Bi-Weekly for the RURAL residents. Please check the flyer mailed by Bluewater Recycling for dates and location of Wheelie Bin placement.

**Composters are available at the Morris-Turnberry Municipal Office for $50.00.**
